Gallagher Securities, the insurance-linked securities (ILS) and capital markets broker-dealer division of Gallagher Re, has hired Andras Bohm from BMS as its new Global Head of Structuring.
Bohm had joined BMS Group as its head of U.S. Capital Advisory and the CEO of BMS Capital Advisory, Inc. back in 2023, when he moved from a prior role at Swiss Re where he had worked as Head of ILS Structuring for the Americas at Swiss Re Capital Markets.
Prior to that, Bohm had spent 9 years at Aon, where he became a VP in the Aon Securities division.
Bohm has worked across the full-range of ILS and capital advisory solutions, including a focus on casualty sidecar transactions in recent years.
He has experience across actuarial science, capital advisory, consulting, insurance-linked securities (ILS), and legacy solutions, and has worked on catastrophe bonds sidecars and other capital markets solutions for carriers and MGAs.
Gallagher Re said that Bohm will be tasked with collaborating closely with its Capital Advisory team and that this is one of several hires the firm is making in the capital advisory space globally.
“Andras’s expertise will be key to expanding Gallagher Securities’ capabilities as the market continues its growth across both property and non-catastrophe lines,” the company stated.
