Dean’s Sweets – Maine Sea Salt Caramels
I can’t believe this chocolate company has been around for 20 years and I’m only just discovering it now! If it’s in the candy category I am usually all over it. That’s where friends come in – ASE subscriber Anna P. brought me some dark and milk chocolate caramels from Dean’s and they were sublime. Dean’s Sweets is a shop in Portland, ME founded by a couple who made truffles as a hobby at home. They decided to start a business and it has been very successful. With the exception of cacao – their ingredients are sourced only in Maine and from trusted farms and business. They have over 30 varieties of truffles, caramels, and buttercreams. The Savannah Bananas are the Harlem Globetrotters of baseball! They have been coming into my Instagram feed for months now and I enjoy every clip immensely. They have hit the big time and are now on tour. Their games are supposed to be very fun, according to friends and relatives who have been.
They are an exhibition barnstorming baseball team based in Savannah, GA. They play a variation of baseball known as Banana Ball which features showmanship, choreographed dance routines, fan participation, and many other fun antics. The games are quick paced.
Founded in 2016 by Jessie & Emily Cole, they have played over 200 games – all of them sold out.
